Athenix Solutions Group is looking to hire a Network Engineer to support a large program in the Reston, VA area.

This opportunity requires experienced network architecture and network engineering support for CISCO devices, software, and MAC and PC based devices.

There will be the development of new wired and wireless networks supporting language learning software and a language-learning environments.

The work may be performed independently or within a team environment. You will work closely with the instructors, students, management, and team management to develop a new wireless network, support the current wireless network, support 2 wired networks, and the testing and assessment network.

They will prepare documentation sufficient to gain approval of SSP’s.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with learning enterprise partners and vendors.
• Develop and document a new wireless network at the new facility.
• Migrate all three networks to a new facility.
• Document Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) activities.
• Administer computer networks.
• Perform network architecture tasking.
• Perform Network administration.
• Perform day-to-day needs and maintenance of networks.
• Design and configure networks as needed.
• Assist in short term and long-term network planning.
• Create current state of the art network architecture and will brief such to varying levels of management.
• Active Clearance : TS / SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Experience in network design, network development, network maintenance, and server support.
• Experience working with Cloud migration technologies, such as Microsoft Azure.

Highly Desired :

• Demonstrated experience with desktop support for language learning software.
• Demonstrated experience taking customer requirements and architecting a network solution, utilizing data, voice, and video requirements.

Education :

Basic Level Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field, and 4 years of relevant experience.

Mid Level Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field, and 8 years of relevant experience.

Senior Level - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field, and 12 years of relevant experience.

Note : A Master’s degree in information technology or relevant field can be used to substitute for 4 years of experience.
