As we continue to expand our network, we are looking for a skilled Home Installation Technician to join our dynamic team.
As a Home Installation Technician at Maverix Broadband, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver high-quality broadband services to our customers.
You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting broadband equipment and services in residential settings, ensuring our customers enjoy seamless connectivity and the best possible service experience.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test broadband equipment, including modems, routers, and any associated wiring or hardware, in customers' homes.
- Educate customers on how to use and optimize their broadband services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation or service issues, providing high-quality customer service.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while performing installations and service calls.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and online documentation related to installations and service visits.
- Maintain inventory of installation supplies and equipment, ensuring tools and vehicles are in good working condition.
- Work closely with customer service and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any post-installation issues.
- Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in telecommunications, electronics, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in telecommunications, broadband installation, or related field preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Compensation
- $22-28 / hr
