About The Position

• Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Technician Job Specialty : Operating Room Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Days - 3x12 hr shifts - 0700-1930, including weekends and holidays if needed;
• call as needed Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years required, experience in multiple specialties preferred License : Certification required Certifications : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting;
• BLS required Must-Have : - Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting - Experience in multiple specialties - Ability to care for COVID patients - Willingness to float if needed - Full COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption Job Description : - Utilize appropriate physician preference cards;
• anticipate supplies and equipment needed for assigned cases - Prepare room supplies according to operative procedure - Assist with moving, positioning, preparing, and draping patients - Apply and utilize special equipment safely - Maintain aseptic technique - Assist with obtaining specimens and ensure proper preparation and handling - Perform correct counts according to hospital policies and procedures - Anticipate and adjust rapidly to the instrument needs of the surgeon - Assist in the maintenance of instruments and supplies with proper care and sterilization - Maintain good interpersonal skills - Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner according to hospital policies and procedures - Adapt to changes in workload or procedure assignments - Respond appropriately to emergency situations - Maintain appropriate safety measures in surgical areas, including compliance with all protocols - Communicate pertinent information to the RN and surgical team effectively - Assist with robotics as outlined by training - Ensure confidentiality and display a professional demeanor - Demonstrate dependability, including attendance and punctuality - Support a patient and family-centered philosophy;
