Purpose :
The receptionist is the first and last person to be in contact with customers. The welcome created by the receptionist is very important and strongly influences how customers feel about Supercuts.
The primary responsibility of the receptionist is to make sure the customer feels welcome and is done by greeting our customers cheerfully and with enthusiasm, making them feel receptionist knows exactly how the salon operates and has the ability to execute our Supercuts Operating Principles and best practices at all times.
This will ensure all customers are satisfied before leaving the salon and ave been informed on all check-in options that are available.
The receptionist should also have a thorough knowledge of the Supercuts location, menus and available products for retail.
They should also know the hours of operation and be able to communicate this information to customers in person or on the phone.
It is important for the receptionist to understand that the voice on the other end of the phone is a potential customer or applicant and it is important that the information is delivered cordially and clearly with a smile.
Duties :
- Greet every customer immediately and check them in
- Answer phones clearly and confidently
- Inform customers on how to make a reservation via Open Salon, online check-in and of course calling ahead
- Assist customers with any questions they may have about purchasing products and suggest additional services we offer
- Create a ticket for every customer in the POS
- Give an accurate wait time and encourage customers to wait or return as appropriate
- Accept payment as well as asking the customer how their service was. Listen to concerns, complaints or positive feedback
- Follow all sanitation procedures and requirements
- Keep desk area clean and organized when not servicing customers
- Keep up on laundry
- Keep up on having clean implements for stylists at all times
- Assist with product inventory, stocking shelves and dusting when needed
- Balance till at the beginning and end of each shift
