Sr. Data Engineer: Snowflake DW + Matillion or DBT + Python APIs + data streaming (Kafka or similar)

KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Sr. Data Engineer : Snowflake DW + Matillion or DBT + Python APIs + data streaming (Kafka or similar)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

To excel in this data engineering position, you should have strong programming and analytical skills to effectively combine data from various sources, including both batch and real-time streams.

In this role, you will design and develop data solutions that support analytics, application development, and data science efforts.

• Work closely with Data product owner and BSA to thoroughly understand the business user stories
• Work with the Data Architect to accurately interpret the data modeling and design the data flow
• Develop ELT data pipeline to load data from various data sources to data lake and data warehouse and apply complex business logic to populate normalized and denormalized data structure
• Design and implement real-time data streaming solutions
• Build reusable components for a scalable data integration methodology such as error handling, logging, and recoverability
• Participate in the data modeling / schema design
• Perform and support query development and optimization

EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelor degree, especially one that's relevant, is a plus.
• Relevant certifications are a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering role focusing on Data Warehouse development
• Proven experience with ETL tools such as Matillion or dbt
• 2-3+ years of data warehousing with Snowflake
• Expertise in SQL programming and query optimization.
• Proficient in programming languages, especially SQL and Python
• Skilled in integration data from disparate sources via API leveraging Python
• Proficiency in real-time streaming technologies like Kafka or comparable.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with source control (BitBucket, Git, or GitHub for example)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $130-160K plus bonus. However, we are willing to send qualified candidates over budget.
