Research And Development Associate
Quantimetrix, located in Redondo Beach, California, is a family-owned business that designs, develops, and manufactures clinical laboratory quality controls.
We have been delivering industry-leading products and services to the medical community for nearly 50 years.
We are looking for a well-qualified candidate to join our Research and Development team. The R&D Associate is to support the new product development of the laboratory quality controls and the post-launch product lifecycle management.
This position is expected to perform the assignments independently with minimal supervision.
This position is a 6 + month contract with potential for a permanent position.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct feasibility, design characterization, verification and validation testing for new products development.
- Plan, procure and manage materials required for the studies.
- Draft test protocols and reports.
- Analyze and summarize the data.
- Support the transferring of new products to Manufacturing.
- Provide technical support for regulatory filings and post launch re-registrations.
- Provide post launch support for complaint investigations, CAPA and product improvement.
- Maintain testing instruments and laboratory equipment. Contribute to the day-to-day laboratory maintenance activities.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 0-2 years’ experience in a medical device related setting. Knowledge and experience in design control and cGMP are preferred.
- Ability to draft technical documentation.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education :
B.S. in biochemistry, chemistry, clinical chemistry, or a similar field.
Duration : 6+ Months Contract with possible extension

Salary Range :
The pay range for this position is $25-$35 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
