Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Prior experience in speech and language therapy in a school setting
- IEP experience preferred
- Experience with AAC devices
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address clients' communication disorders and improve their functional communication skills
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients using evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and caregivers to ensure coordinated and effective care for students
