The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for four (4) academic professional track (non-tenure accruing) faculty positions with a part-time or full-time 9-month appointment and the possibility of an additional summer appointment beginning Fall 2024 at the lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor of practice, professor of practice, instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, instructional professor and senior professor levels with teaching expertise in civil engineering.
The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program;
advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Applicants should consult the department's website to review our academic and research programs (engineering.tamu.edu / civil).
For appointments at Associate Professor of the Practice or Professor of the Practice level, applicants must have, at the minimum, a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college / school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
For appointments at Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Instructional Assistant Professor, Instructional Associate Professor, or Instructional Professor level, applicants must have doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline, or a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college / school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
