Job Title : Assembly Worker
Job Description
We manufacture Rotary and Flat Dies that cut cardboard, similar to large cookie cutters. Our clients include major corrugating companies.
In this role, you will participate in team lifts to move the dies and work as a Flat Finisher, applying foam around the blades.
Be prepared for some odors from the industrial glue used to attach the foam.
Hard Skills
- Ability to lift 50-80 lbs
- Proficient in hammering for extended periods
- Experience following written and visual instructions (1 year preferred)
- Strong hand dexterity
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position lasting 4 months.
Work Environment
Join a mid-sized, family-owned company with a strong emphasis on teamwork. We host various employee appreciation events, including an annual ice fishing tournament at different lakes, complete with supplies, food, and prizes.
Occasionally, we provide food and specialty coffee on select days. The work area may have odors from glue, sawdust, solvents, and other chemicals.
Masks are available for those who wish to wear them. While minor cuts from sharp tools and glue on hands may occur, these are uncommon.
Expect to stand all day on anti-fatigue mats. Attire includes jeans or pants, a t-shirt or sweatshirt without derogatory images or words, and closed-toe shoes.
Training will take place Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 : 30 PM for 2-3 weeks. Overtime may be required for 1-2 hours at the end of shifts, typically once or twice a week.
