We are looking for a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for building brand awareness, cultivating our community of travelers, and conducting a cohesive conversation across multiple channels.
- Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, they will design and implement channel-specific strategies that communicate consistent, well-timed, practical, and thoughtful information;
- leverage our library of travel content - and their travel experience - to craft compelling collateral and storylines; highlight the humanness of our philanthropic activities (and partners) to advance our advocacy;
and refine our social media voice to carbonate the social media experience of our highly engaged and growing social community.
This person will also manage conversations in our public forums, and manage interactions within our broader social media / online community.
Working within the Brand Marketing team (while collaborating with Marketing Operations, Customer Experience, Merchandising, the Director of Content, and the outside social media agency), the successful candidate will be required to create content aligning with our company's values.

As a result, we expect the Social Media Manager to be committed to adding value to a traveler's experience, and apply their expertise to building trust and engagement.
This is a full-time, 40 hours / week position with full benefits.
Responsibilities :
- Translates company and brand marketing strategy for social media.
- Leads the execution and optimization for our company's social media - including dreaming about new ideas and best practices to maximize our presence.
- Sets and tracks relevant KPIs for engagement, and reports on actionable insights
- Writes / creates voice and brand appropriate content that fits seamlessly into relevant social channels, grows our already-strong community, helps longtime customers find a deeper connection, and facilitates new travelers discovering our brand.
- Collaborates with internal cross-functional team on key initiatives and builds cohesive and thoughtful content that aligns with the company vision, values, and voice.
- Manages / directs our social media agency.
- Owns, audits, and adjusts our community response infrastructure (in partnership with Customer Experience) to ensure customers are supported with timely, on brand, helpful information.

Qualifications :
- 5-10 years of experience in professional content creation and storytelling (visual and written)
- BA / MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related discipline (or with relevant and proven work experience in lieu of degree)
- Track record in designing and executing social strategies that build engaged communities.
- Strong creative writing and editing skills (with ability to write in our company voice).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or equivalent (video editing skills a plus)
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of our mission, products, and services
- European travel experience is a plus
