We're seeking a seasoned Semi-Truck Inspector to ensure our fleet remains in peak condition.
This is a remote position with 80%+ travel expected. Occasional visits to our Kansas City, MO, or Jackson, GA, offices may be required.
Some travel plans may change with as little as 1 day's notice.
Key Distinction :
This position's primary responsibility is inspecting Class 8 semi-trucks. However, additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support operational requirements.

As a Semi-Truck Inspector, You Will :
- Perform meticulous pre-purchase inspections, evaluating truck condition, performance, and safety.
- Scrutinize maintenance records and DOT reports with a keen eye.
- Identify and classify various leaks, utilizing diagnostic tools effectively.
- Generate detailed inspection reports with notes, photos, and videos.
- Apply analytical skills to anticipate potential mechanical issues.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for truck acquisitions and repairs.
- Foster strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Semi-Truck Inspector Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years of Class 8 truck inspection OR DOT inspection experience OR 4 years of verifiable mechanical experience enabling thorough vehicle inspections.
- Experience with diagnostic equipment is required; JPRO-specific is preferred.
- Must demonstrate inspection proficiency during the interview process; training will be provided on our specific trade terms only.
- A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Proficiency with telematics devices and DOT regulations for heavy-duty trucks.
- The physical capability to thoroughly inspect trucks, including climbing and maneuvering around and under the vehicle.
- Excellent organizational, computer, and communication skills.
- The willingness to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice.
