About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Level 4 NICU experience required; cardiac PICU experience preferred.

License : Must have an active state license; can submit with license pending provided a temporary license is obtained before start.

Certifications : RRT, BLS, PALS required.

Must-Have : Competence in high-risk deliveries and acute care pediatrics.

Description :

Clinical review and auto offer.

The manager will make an offer once the clinical review is passed.

The manager will also call after offering.

This role involves working nights with options for 36 or 48 hours.

Every other weekend is required, along with two out of three winter holidays.

The unit has a self-scheduling model; the manager will explain this during the call.

Preference is given to candidates with cardiac PICU experience.

Candidates must comfortably work within a multidisciplinary team.

Must be able to work in all units requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Expected duties include aerosol setup and management, assisting in high-risk deliveries, and providing respiratory care in a pediatric environment.

Additional skills may include intubation assistance, neonatal transports, and care for conditions such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia and respiratory distress syndrome.

Competence in the use of specialized equipment is required.

The work environment includes caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics.

Strong patient care competencies are expected.
