New England Life Care currently has an opening for a Business Development Specialist. This position will cover the hospitals in Boston South.
Their primary responsibility is to establish relationships internally to develop a strong account management relationship with our Nursing, CCRC, and Intake Teams, and externally to understand the current needs of the member hospitals, anticipate future needs, and identify opportunities for growth.
Although responsible for hospitals south of Boston, this position is based out of Canton, NH for administrative purposes only.
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. The normal working hours will be Monday Friday from 8AM 5PM.
Job Summary : The person in this position is responsible for facilitating the achievement of the company’s financial and partnership development goals for their defined territory through the positive promotion of NELC’s programs and services to member clinicians & case management personnel.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Grows accounts and territory to meet or exceed quarterly and annual performance goals.
- Ensures the effective promotion of company products and services to all referral sources including but not limited to physicians, member hospital clinical staff, hospital & payer case managers and home health agencies in assigned area of responsibility.
- In conjunction with PD Leadership develop annually, a member specific plan to network / consult / promote the services of NELC throughout the institution to ensure the member remains a member in good standing by either meeting the test of being fully engaged and maintain a positive contribution to NELC’s financial performance.
- Reviews monthly performance results with the Director of Case Management and other appropriate hospital department heads to ensure member engagement and participation in meeting by-law requirements for a member in good standing, on-going program development, planning or corrective actions.
- Works with supervisor to identify quarterly performance goals in support of member(s) specific master plan and meets or exceeds identified goals.
- Participates in or secures a seat for another NELC team member to participate in at least one hospital committee at each of their assigned member hospitals.
- Develops at least one non-direct marketing opportunity at each assigned member institution. (Newsletter, case study, participation in a member’s team building activity) by end of calendar year.
- Works with NELC leadership to identify & develop new business / service opportunities at assigned member hospital(s).
- Works with the DON or Clinical Liaison Director to identify and develop quarterly account specific goals for the assigned clinical liaison(s)
- Work closely with other members of the Partnership Development team to support the development and execution of a system wide development plan.
- Provides timely feedback to referral sources on patient satisfaction, problem resolution or superior customer service by an NELC team member.
- Provides regular feedback to senior management on partnership development activities, successes, failures, and opportunities.
- Ensures continued satisfaction of member hospitals, their clinical team(s), payers, physicians, and home health agencies via ongoing regular communication.
- Works closely with the Directors of Nursing or Director of Clinical Liaisons to develop a cohesive team between partnership development and clinical liaisons.
- Assists in the orienting and training of clinical liaisons.
- Provides timely updates to all dashboards and member profiles.
Educational / Professional Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum five (5) years of health product sales experience and / or home infusion therapy sales experience required.
- Management experience required.
Regulatory Requirements :
- Knowledge of federal and state fraud and abuse laws required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license required.
- Excellent driving record required.
