dealing with complex business issues and capital markets transactions; working to meet financial reporting needs and regulatory and investor expectations.

Work you'll do

The VP, Solution Delivery leads multiple project teams in delivering accounting and reporting services for private funds such as private equity, fund of funds, and real assets including real estate, renewables, shipping, agriculture, aircraft, and timber.

  • Lead a highly trained and skilled team that is able to scale operations rapidly
  • Foster a team-oriented environment - manage employee retention, career pathing, learning and development of the team
  • Oversee Asset and / or Funds monthly / quarterly financial statement reviews, GAAP adjustments, variance analysis, Asset and debt appraisals
  • Review administrator and / or client Fund NAV calculations and relevant inputs for finalizing Fund NAV
  • Provide guidance and oversight to staff for complex reviews of various fee calculations; such as management fee, performance fee, incentive fee, etc.

  • Finalize audited / non-audited fund financial statement reporting packages; continually improve the level and content of reporting and communication to client stakeholders and external auditors
  • Develop, maintain relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Fund Controllers, Fund / entity Auditors and administrators
  • Oversee onboarding of accounting and reporting services for new fund launches and asset acquisitions, support operationalizing teams to deliver services
  • Develop competency among team members; Provide coaching and development opportunities to staff, and lead and evolve training
  • Perform engagement planning and budgeting; manage engagement economics, engagement risk, and engagement timeline
  • Work with the team to identify and understand their challenges, manage day-to-day client and team relationships
  • Engage effectively with client to understand feedback and issues; ensure resolution to client satisfaction
  • Assess performance and manage engagement level service level agreements
  • Work with clients to identify solutions to drive desired outcomes

The team : Controllership Financial Reporting team

Deloitte Advisory's Controllership Financial Reporting team assists organizations in meeting their accounting and regulatory requirements.

The team provides an extensive range of financial accounting and reporting services with a comprehensive industry-focused approach like quarterly and annual financial reporting, statutory and regulatory reporting including policy, production, SOX compliance and support, legal entity reporting preparation and filing, annual budgeting etc.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Post-Graduate / Graduate degree in Finance or Accounting, or active CPA
  • 12+ years of relevant experience with GAAP / statutory reporting, preferable in asset management industry and / or asset classes (real estate, renewables, shipping, agriculture, aircraft, timber)
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Proficiency in MS office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience and fluency with various reporting platforms; such as Yardi, ARC, Geneva, Investran, or similar
  • Experience in working with teams across multiple geographies
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on the work you do and the clients and industries / sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,815 - $229,500.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
