Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
The Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing plays a key member of the executive management team and is responsible for developing the sales strategy to achieve revenue goals.
The position will interact with local management, corporate management, to provide direction and guidance related to operations and procedural activities in accordance with goals and objectives of the organization.
The position will drive sales growth and profitability by providing executive leadership across all regions.
The Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing charts the course, develops the vision, and implements the plan that will propel the company towards increased market share and greater brand recognition.
Responsibilities of Position :
- Provide strategic leadership to the sales team, setting goals, objectives, and strategies to achieve revenue targets. Develop sales plans, identify market opportunities, and align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans in partnership with senior leadership and Area Sales Managers.
- Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets.
- Develop and enforce consistency of the entire Sales process from initial customer interaction until cancellation.
- Establish a price management program to identify opportunities to improve profitability and durability in the market.
- Develop the sales strategy, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance within the sales department.
- Maximize the securement of new and existing commercial and municipal contracts.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's markets, competitors, sales cycles, clinical influences and consumer behaviors.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
- Electronically file all commercial and municipal contracts and customer information in a central database in a timely manner.
- Monitor, coach and instruct area and region sales teams.
- Prepare and submit annual revenue budget, sales and marketing plans assure consistent, accurate and timely incentive payment.
- Support Area Presidents and Area Sales Managers with achieving revenue growth targets.
- Participate in monthly / quarterly operational meetings to ensure action plans, P&L, and organization objectives meet or exceed expectations.
- Develop and manage the sales incentive program and plans.
- Assist / Support the development of the Rumpke ERP System.
- Develop and maintain consistent sales reporting through the Area and Region teams.
- Partner with digital team to increase Rumpke presence among its target audiences.
- Manage training and development for sales team.
Supervisory Responsibility :
- This position will manage 21+ employees.
- This position will oversee and direct other managers.
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position :
- Extensive knowledge and experience in sales and operations.
- Strong knowledge of sales strategies, market dynamics, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence indirectly.
- Ability to motivate and inspire the sales team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
Additional Working Conditions / Aspects :
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Ability to travel between offices, as required.
- Ability to workflexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and / or holidays.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license (if applicable).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
