About The Position
A LTC Nurse provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in a long-term care facility. Duties of a LTC Nurse (including but not limited to) : 1.
Records patient histories2.Performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops patient long-term care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
3.Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment, as necessary.4.Observe patient progress and record observations in patient medical records.
5.Promote patient’s independence by teaching patients and their families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
6.Typically requires a bachelor’s degree7.Reports to manager or head of unit / department8.Requires a valid state RN License9.
Must maintain BLS / CPR and / or ACLS, etc. some states have specific advanced certifications required10.Must have strong interpersonal skills
