Job Summary
The PhysicalTherapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of a PhysicalTherapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventionsin an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position'squalifications, professional practices and ethicalstandards.
Licenses andCertifications
Must have and maintain a current,valid state PTA licensure or certification
Current validCPR certification,preferred
Qualifications
Education : Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accreditedprogram
Experience : 0-1years
Roles andResponsibilities
Implement treatment plansdesigned by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises,manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.
g., heat, cold,electrical stimulation).
- Observe patient responses totherapy, document their progress, and report findings and anyconcerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Observeand maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients'responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findingsto the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provideinstructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques,safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress athome.
- Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patientneeds and progress, providing additional observations andinsights.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team toensure comprehensive patient care.
- Otherduties as assigned.
