Volunteer Podcast Content Strategist for #SystemsChange

The Volunteer Podcast Content Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and enhancing the listener experience for the CrowdDoing #SystemsChange Podcast.

With 30 hours of core content already recorded, this role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can weave additional illustrative or explanatory content into the existing material, making complex ideas accessible and engaging for a diverse audience.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the production team, researchers, and content creators to identify gaps in content, propose additional materials, and develop a cohesive strategy that aligns with the podcast’s mission of promoting systemic change.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Content Analysis : Review the existing 30 hours of recorded content to identify themes, key messages, and potential areas for enhancement with additional contextual content.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop a content strategy that integrates illustrative and explanatory material into the core episodes, enhancing listener understanding and engagement.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with the production team, audio editors, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless integration of new content into existing episodes.
  • Audience Engagement : Understand the target audience’s needs and preferences to tailor content that resonates deeply, encourages reflection, and prompts action towards systemic change.
  • Feedback Integration : Incorporate feedback from initial listener reviews, testing, and team input to refine and adapt content strategy as needed.
  • Innovative Content Creation : Propose and develop creative content solutions that simplify complex concepts, including but not limited to interviews, narrative storytelling, soundscapes, and expert commentary.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in content strategy, journalism, communication, or a related field, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into engaging, understandable content.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for systemic change, sustainability, and social innovation, with a keen interest in solarpunk themes and values.
  • Creativity and innovation in content creation, with experience in storytelling, audio production, or media preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt strategies in response to feedback and evolving project needs.

Role Description

This is a volunteer remote role for a Podcast Content Strategist. The Volunteer Podcast Content Strategist will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing the content strategies for CrowdDoing's podcast.

They will work collaboratively with other volunteers and content writers to create impactful podcast content that educates and inspires change.
