Description
The Senior Executive Assistant position is a full-time professional-exempt position. Under general supervision, the Senior Executive Assistant will perform highly responsible administrative and secretarial duties requiring an extensive working knowledge of the organization and of the programs and departments in Academic and Student Affairs.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, the following : scheduling meetings; preparing agendas; attending meetings and recording minutes;
- processing budget amendments, travel requests, and various other forms; establishing and maintaining office files, department records, correspondence, and related reports;
- processing personnel documents, contracts, and requisitions to appropriate departments before required deadlines; maintaining administrative records related to the departmental functions;
and coordinating and organizing events and projects. The Senior Executive Assistant must exercise critical thinking skills, problem solving, and discretion concerning highly confidential matters and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and independently.
This position reports to the Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Graduation from accredited institution with an associate degree, two years of responsible office administration experience, and demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in a networked office setting, and internet navigation.
Appropriate work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis. College coursework beyond the associate degree or its equivalent work may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required experience.
Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Prefer strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational, prioritization, interpersonal, and computer skills, the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy, collaboration skills, and problem-solving skills.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE : $39,500.00 - $44,500.00
