Overview
The Software Solutions Consultant (SSC) is a commissioned sales position committed to providing sales assistance, training and guidance to Konica Minolta (KM) dealers in the areas of software solutions.
The SSC is responsible for delivering technical pre-sales assistance, vendor management, and consultative support for software solutions, professional services, and installation services to enable the achievement of assigned revenue and customer satisfaction objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop business relationships, drive sales and manage KM’s software solutions with assigned dealers.
- Learn and demonstrate the benefits of all KM products, services and solutions to dealers.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets within assigned territory or account list.
- Work directly with dealers to promote solutions and professional services offerings, driven by key performance indicators and KM initiatives.
- Take responsibility for pre-sale technical discovery, business process analysis, and development of customized solutions to fit dealers’ client’s requirements.
- Partner with 3rd party providers & LOB owners to craft solutions & presentations to assist dealers and their customers with sales engagements.
- Conduct KM-owned software and 3rd party solutions / professional services launches.
- Focus on KM’s key products and unique offerings to develop the application support items required (i.e. presentations, NFRs, process and procedure documents, etc.)
- Identify best practices and build knowledge base, including competitive information, within field sales and support groups.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing with updated procedures to KM teammates.
- Coordinate and conduct software solutions educational seminars and training at the local level.
- Establish and manage 3rd party vendors, resources, and KM internal support relationships during project deployment.
- Maintain education training standards and certifications levels in line with job requirements and advancement development plans.
- Additional projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of technical sales experience in related field (solutions, software, document management, manage print services, color / monochrome MFP engines and production print) with a proven track record of meeting / exceeding quota.
- Strong working knowledge of industry hardware, IT services and software solutions offerings.
- Experience with network print servers, document management / scanning applications and workflows, manage print services, print optimization / cost recovery, print and MFP print controller technology, SQL, security, and major third-party print manufacturer's devices.
- Experience directly driving business growth, exceeding sales goals, and maintaining client relationships.
- Energetic professional comfortable with prospecting for solutions opportunities within new and established clients.
- Working knowledge of project management processes.
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Experience working with and communicating effectively with clients and influencing C-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work well with a team, and be proactive and organized.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Seeks training opportunities to remain current with the most recent technology.
- Ability to pass certification tests to enhance career path.
- Maintain valid driver’s license and / or access to reliable and presentable transportation.
- Comfortable hosting remote meetings and demonstrations
- Willingness to travel up to 70%
