POSITION SUMMARY : The Music Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, coordination and day to day operations of the music therapy program, the music therapists, the music therapy Internship and all music volunteers.
This includes but is not limited to : the provision of music therapy services for all patients, families and staff at JHACH who are prioritized to receive music therapy services, inclusive of : assessment, planning, intervention and documentation, the application, the selection, maintenance, training, and clinical supervision of music therapists, the music therapy internship and its students, and the selection and oversight of the music volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy Board Certified 3 years working as a Board-Certified Music Therapist in a healthcare setting 1-year experience working as a Board-Certified Music Therapist in a pediatric healthcare setting.
Meets all educational, musical, clinical, and ethical competencies outlined by the American Music Therapy Association Thorough knowledge of Child Development and the ability to assess with visual and auditory acuity and respond effectively to the individual, age specific needs with high quality music therapy intervention Excellent written and verbal communication skills Current infant, child, and adult CPR and AED training, AHA Salary Range : Minimum 27.
04 per hour - Maximum 43.26 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
