We are looking for a Specialist, Regulatory, Sustainability, and Public Affairs Aspiring Leader to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

This posting is a regional search for a global position within the BASF Agricultural Solutions Regulatory, Sustainability, and Public Affairs (APD) organization.

The position is for an Aspiring Leader who will participate in a rotational program for a duration of 18 up to 24 months.

Through 3-to-9-month temporary placements, including one placement in a foreign country, you will get to know various units of the Regulatory, Sustainability & Public Affairs department.

After program completion, we anticipate your interests and skills will align with potential opportunities within the APD organization.

As a Specialist, Regulatory, Sustainability, and Public Affairs Aspiring Leader, you create chemistry by

  • Familiarizing yourself with different fields of APD work and will get a comprehensive understanding of unit-specific as well as overarching activity.
  • Receiving challenging tasks with a high degree of personal responsibility and successfully contribute your results to the team.

Assignments may be within Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory Science, Public and Governmental Affairs, Stewardship, Sustainability, Digitalization, Performance Management, and others across both Crop Protection and Seeds & Traits units.

Being together with your mentor, with whom you will develop your personal career, plan matching your personal skills and interests.

If you

Post-graduate degree in natural sciences (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Environmental Sciences), political sciences, or a related discipline.

MSc with at least 3 years of experience or PhD.

  • Leadership achievements showing strong teamworking skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in international collaborations or international work assignments, with an ability to work with a high degree of independence in a dynamic, multicultural, and interdisciplinary environment with skill in additional languages and ability for international travel.
  • Examples of career development beyond degree program aptitude.
  • Confidence with an authentic appearance in effective communication and fluency in English.
  • Familiarity with issues related to agriculture and agricultural value chains, with an essential curiosity for what you do.
  • Willingness to live temporarily overseas for one rotation (3-9 months)
