QUALIFICATIONS : - 5+ years of full-time farm experience is needed- Prefer some leadership of crew experience- Grain and row crop knowledge, plant to harvest experience needed- Working with Organics and / or specialty niche crops would be a plus- Routine maintenance and general repairs are mandatory, additional mechanic background is a plus- Team player with strong communication skills, good work ethic, and good attitude is a must- Agronomy experience a plus- Heavy equipment operation is a plus- Valid driver’s license, fluent English speaking skills are needed JOB DESCRIPTION : Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Farm Assistant Operations Manager for a progressive family farm operation in Arkansas with the skills to manage day-to-day operations.
Assist in overseeing up to 4-5 additional farm hands.
Prefer someone who has been in a management or supervisory position for at least 2 years.
Need someone who is a team player, a hard worker and looking for a long-term employment opportunity.
Someone who takes pride in what they do.
an individual that can think on their own two feet and has the ability and foresight to plan out the day and assist others in direction and lead them through their day as well.
Currently growing organic sweet potatoes, rice, corn, soybeans, peas, and wheat on 1500 certifiable acres.
This next year, they are looking to add pumpkins, watermelons, and regular potatoes to the rotation.
They are a growing farm and in need of an Assistant Farm Manager that can assist with daily operations and grow with the company.
Great area for spouse to also find off-farm employment and is an area with good schools, colleges, and surrounded by several good communities.
