Job Description
Picking
- Understand the daily needs of the department.
- Pick ingredients based on FIFO or expiration date depending on material.
- SAP knowledge to pull ingredients in proper rotation
- Transfer pallets from proper storage location to production room and back.
- Keep storage areas clean.
- Miscellaneous
- Complete a checklist of forklift maintenance; oil leaks, horn, mast - hydraulic spills, test drive all functions.
- Recharge forklift battery at the end of each shift.
- Weigh, record and empty inedible product onto collection truck.
- Audit inventory as needed.
- Communicate with Department Assistant Supervisor and Supervisors on needed supplies for production.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); recognize and practice Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).
- Keep assigned area clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
