- Implement knowledge and techniques for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.- Perform psychosocial interventions within the scope of practice.
- Conduct individual, family, or group interventions, such as counseling, testing, and education.- Develop intervention goals and resolve client functioning issues.
- Engage in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals and objectives.- Conduct interviews with clients and their families to establish case goals.
- Assess clients to determine specific intervention techniques and monitor responses.- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of treatments.
- Evaluate cases and client progress from prescribed treatment plans.- Maintain necessary data records to satisfy federal, state, and local agency requirements.
- Prepare social histories, admission / aftercare summaries, and court documents.- Serve on treatment and program development teams.
- Attend training meetings, departmental meetings, and court hearings.- Establish and maintain working relationships with other facilities and services for referrals and follow-up.
- Possess knowledge of departmental regulations, policies, procedures, and governmental rules.- Demonstrate ability in counseling, client care, crisis intervention, and employee instruction.
- Recognize unusual or threatening conditions and respond appropriately.- Apply social work theories, principles, and techniques to problem solving.
