Network Test Engineer III-OLT and PON Engineer
Unison Systems is looking for a Network Engineer III with OLT and PON experience for our national telecommunications client.
This will be a long-term month contract.Our client is located out of Englewood, CO and offers 1 remote day a week.Candidates must be local as we frequently need to physically touch hardware inside of the lab.
Cable industry and lab experience is a must have.
Job duties :
- Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software.
- Designs and documents network architecture.
- Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
- Establishes security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.
- Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
- Tests and tunes security devices and systems.
- Programs routers and switches.
- Implements communications technologies (data or voice).
- Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.
- 5- 10 years of experience.
