Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for a School Psychologist serving a K-12 school environment in Belvidere, IL, on a contract basis through the full school year (NSY). This role involves comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and collaboration efforts to support student success within the educational system.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct evaluations as a critical diagnostic component of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to determine eligibility for special education services.
• Select and administer appropriate evaluation tools based on referral concerns, addressing the specific learning and behavioral needs of students.
• Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed reports, presenting findings clearly during IEP eligibility conferences.
• Assess a students suitability within their current instructional environment, considering learning styles, teaching methods, available resources, and peer influences.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, school administrators, and the School Social Worker to devise and implement interventions that address academic and behavioral challenges.
• Actively engage in district-wide Response to Intervention (RtI) teams to support tiered intervention strategies.
• Meet with parents prior to IEP meetings to explain evaluation results, ensuring understanding and fostering open communication.
