Job Overview :
The Senior Recruiter will focus primarily on our CRRD (Crisis Response, Recovery & Development) unit's hiring needs and will have their own portfolio of positions to conduct full life cycle recruiting.
Responsibilities will include all sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions.
All work will be accomplished in a spirit of partnership and service with the hiring manager. We are looking for someone who understands and practices industry standards and a person who is always looking for new and creative ways to recruit as well.
Our goal is to ensure the timely selection of top talent, who will support IRC's organizational culture, while contributing to IRC's position as an employer of choice.
Major Responsibilities :
- Serve as a key advisor to hiring managers in each recruitment and serve as evaluator and counsel to internal candidates.
- Take time to understand how the role fits into unit & organizational objectives; what career progression might be next out of the role;
and any priorities hiring managers has for this hire.
- Support each recruitment according to the Talent Movement Framework and use good judgment in any deviation.
- Source highly qualified candidates for positions through partnership with our sourcing team, networking, and use of different candidate databases.
- Find a diverse set of potential candidates who meet the requirements of the positions within agreed timeline.
- Conduct in person or virtual interviews with potential candidates.
- Provide frequent communication with hiring managers and candidates to keep them informed as to progress.
- Arrange interviews with other interviewers.
- Conduct and evaluate reference feedback using SkillSurvey during the assessment process.
- Maintain accurate candidate records in our ATS, Cornerstone.
- Negotiate offer acceptance with candidate, working with internal parties (e.g., compensation team, local offices, relevant HR partner, budget holder) if any analysis or collaboration is needed.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years recruitment experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, heavily matrixed environment with demanding priorities.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job boards and social media tools and strategies to attract talent.
- Proven experience and ability to create, implement, maintain and improve recruitment strategies and systems in a high-volume context.
- Excellent project management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to provide excellent client service in a cross-cultural context.
- Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units.
- Language skills : fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish, French or Arabic a plus.
Compensation :
Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
