Position Overview : Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Onsite Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Alexandria, VA area for the 2024-2025 school year.
This role involves providing essential healthcare services to students and staff in a school setting, ensuring a safe and healthy environment conducive to learning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including administering medications, treating minor injuries and illnesses, and managing chronic health conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify student health needs and concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with specific medical needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support students' health and wellness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records and incident reports.
- Manage and oversee the school's health office, ensuring it is stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid and basic life support as needed.

Requirements :
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of school health practices.
- Excellent munication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
