Helena College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position as an Executive Director of Operations.
The Executive Director of Operations reports directly to the Dean / CEO and is a member of the Dean’s Cabinet executive leadership team of Helena College.
This position oversees the administrative functions of the campus including :
Facilities & Maintenance :

Directly supervise Director of Facilities & Maintenance; provide direction for deferred maintenance and construction needs of the campus in line with strategic plans;
work with affiliates and with the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education to maintain Helena College’s long-range building plan.
- Human Resources :
- Provide direct supervision and mentorship to HR generalist; communicate priorities and establish annual goals for HR operations;
support day-to-day operations; oversee the hiring process; ensure compliance with all employment regulations.
Safety & Security :
Serve as Clery compliance and reporting officer; act as liaison with local law enforcement; oversee campus safety committee and compliance with emergency response policy.
Risk Management :
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise risk management program; promote a strong culture of compliance within the College community.
Auxiliary Services :
Manage campus parking services, rental property, and retail services including supervision of Campus Store employees.
This position will provide management and supervision of others, including :
- Director of Facilities & Maintenance
- Human Resources Generalist
- Retail services staff including permanent and student employees
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge and use of continuous quality improvement principles.
- Experience with long-range facility planning and strategic operational plan development.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining processes and unions.
- Experience with facilities planning and risk management practices.
Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and / or Abilities :
- Knowledge of risk management practices
- Human Resources training
Benefit and Salary Information :
Salary $85,000 / year; benefits include a comprehensive group benefits package including insurance, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, professional development, and wellness program.
