We do this by employing highly skilled technicians who we consider our greatest asset, while reinvesting in new technology and techniques to better serve our doctors and their patients.
Job Purpose :
Provide support to the manufacturing departments of Johns Dental Lab. Including but not limited to shipping / receiving, sales, infection control, delivery routes, and mail room.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Complete daily routes as scheduled
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Maintain daily record of cases
- Clean vehicles and perform simple vehicle maintenance
- Learn and report special needs / requests of clients
- Sort, label, disinfect, and process finished work
- Open, sort, and disinfect incoming packages
- Prepare all outgoing mail, literature, packaging and shipping
- Complete daily work within tight time frames
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Serve as an ambassador for Johns to clients, develop rapport
- Promote John’s Dental products to clients
- Maintain laboratory infection control standards and methods
- Organize the day to fit the needs of work needed done
- Meet all driver requirements of the state
- Determine the different type of dental fixtures and appliances to assure they are directed to the correct office
- Maintain strict confidentiality of the patient and business
Qualifications
- Driver's License
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License Required with acceptable number of points to be covered by insurance
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Workplace literacy
- Ability to multitask
- Workplace punctuality
- Professionalism
- Time management
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Preferred Qualifications include :
- Six months or longer on a routine delivery route in this geographical area
- Six months or longer processing packages and mail for external shipment
Working conditions :
Work will be done in a smoke free, climate-controlled laboratory, areas designated for infection control, mail room, and surface vehicular travel with the accompanying hazards.
Position requires getting in and out of vehicles repeatedly during a day’s work with exposure to the elements in all seasons.
Laboratory environment may contain elements of airborne particles, fumes and gases, high density noise producing machinery and experience elevated temperatures resulting from equipment.
Physical requirements :
Sitting and standing. Bending and flexing arms, wrists, hands and fingers, grasping, turning head and torso, walking, lifting up to 50lbs.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements to obtain an Indiana Driver’s License.
