Description : JOB PURPOSE :

JOB PURPOSE :

Performs standard EKGs and electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures on inpatients and outpatients as ordered by a physician.

Able to provide indirect care by acquisition of EKG tracings for infant, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Measures by means of electroencephalograph (EEG), impulse frequencies and differences in electrical potential between various areas of the brain to obtain data for use in diagnosis of brain disorders.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED :

High school graduate or GED equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Six (6) months of direct patient care experience in the healthcare field.

MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :

BLS Required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Registered in one area of neurodiagnostics through ABRET preferred.

Previous PCT / CNA experience preferred
