Responsibilities

• Assist in the monitoring and analysis of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the mortgage industry.
• Conduct legal research on various regulatory topics affecting UWM’s operations.
• Assist in the review and drafting of compliance-related documents, policies, and procedures.
• Help maintain and organize legal and compliance documentation and databases.
• Support the legal team in preparing materials for compliance audits and internal meetings.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on compliance strategies and initiatives.
• Respond to time-sensitive tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
• Handle confidential information with an adherence to company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by members of the legal and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior / senior status)
• The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August
• An interest in understanding legal terminology and procedures
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• A strong work ethic
• A drive to succeed
