Key Responsibilities : Conduct pre-operative evaluations for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery. Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Administer general anesthesia and monitor patients throughout the surgical procedure using advanced monitoring techniques, including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). Provide post-operative pain management and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth recovery. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Meditech electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success : Current board certification in anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in cardiothoracic anesthesia is mandatory. Valid and active state medical license is required. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiothoracic anesthesia is preferred. TEE certification and demonstrable experience with transesophageal echocardiography are essential. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ability to work independently while leading a team in a collaborative environment is essential.
