THE ROLE
This role is for a Senior Director of Data Analytics to join the leadership team. This role involves partnering with stakeholders to design and implement analytics solutions that support various business areas, including customer insights, product, inventory, and logistics.
You will also contribute to strategic initiatives like business expansion and innovative uses of data and AI. Responsibilities include delivering data products, managing analytics roadmaps, and developing team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the delivery of analytic solutions for key business areas, such as product planning, customer insights, or operations, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive growth.
- Manage and mentor a team of Data Analysts, developing their skills and supporting various business functions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and tools that enable data-driven decision-making and self-service capabilities.
- Ensure data quality and usability by working closely with technology teams and data engineers.
- Establish scalable methodologies and tools to enhance the data and analytics practice while building competencies across the organization.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8-10 years of experience in data analytics or data science, preferably in a consumer-focused environment.
- Skilled in conducting analyses, developing actionable strategies, and leading cross-functional projects.
- Strong communicator who can effectively connect data insights with business goals.
- Proficient in SQL and statistical programming languages (Python, R) for data analysis; experience with visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Experienced in managing teams and driving change management initiatives.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic settings; a quantitative degree is preferred.
