JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Analyst, Data / Reporting using a variety of tools, will provide reports / dashboards, data extracts, and / or analysis of output to support organizational objectives and operations. Working with business partners, the Data and Reporting Analyst identifies and defines informational and technical requirements which, in turn, drive the subsequent reporting solutions the Analyst develops. This position is an integral part of Freedom Mortgage's continued evolution as a data-driven organization.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - TOP 10 (Also, reference workplace conditions.)

1. Apply an understanding of data sources and technical tools to help the IT Implementation & Engineering department identify reporting and analytic solutions to operational needs.

2. Collaborate with department head to gather, define, and document requirements for new reports / dashboards or changes to existing ones.

3. Develop and deploy dashboards, visualizations, and other analytic solutions via multiple tools (Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, etc.) to support the decision-making requirements of leadership and staff.

4. Advise leadership in understanding and utilizing solutions; help staff draw supportable conclusions and recommendations

5. Conduct data validation routines within the team; document work procedures and methodologies to ensure consistency, reliability, and continuity of reporting.

6. Create and maintain performance scorecards ranging from individual team member contribution to divisional-level progress reporting.

7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

8. Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

9. Strong report and dashboard development skills with one or more business intelligence / data visualization products, including Tableau, Grafana, or Power BI.

10. Maintain regular and punctual attendance. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

1. Proven ability to retrieve information from a variety of sources using a variety of approaches and tools.

2. Strong analytical skills including data analysis, modeling, and mining.

3. Hands-on experience engineering and documenting process flows.

4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; proven ability to develop and initiate creative innovations and solutions.

5. Must be a team-oriented individual who can share information, goals, opportunities, successes, and failures with the appropriate parties. Ability to organize, plan, and carry out multiple related activities.

6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High School Graduate / GED : Required

Bachelor's Degree : Required

Related Work Experience

5-8 Years : Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field.

1. Minimum 2 years of experience with data reporting / visualization t ools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, etc. (corresponding certifications preferred). - Required

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment dealing with large data sets and manipulating big data resources. Required

3. Project management experience / certifications preferred. - Preferred
