Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Henderson , NV, for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ideal candidate will provide individualized support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
You will collaborate with other educators, specialists, and families to ensure each student achieves their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support in both individual and group settings.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to promote student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain open communication with families regarding student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
- Valid Nevada teaching license in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse abilities and needs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
