Job Description :
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Onsite Special Education Teacher to join our team near Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This position involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within a supportive educational environment.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Provide differentiated instruction based on students' strengths, needs, and learning goals.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and related service providers to support student learning and development.
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and educational plans.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid Minnesota teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, including knowledge of best practices in special education.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
- Commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive educational experience for all students.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with diverse populations and understanding of culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and other tools to support student learning.
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies based on individual student needs and learning styles.
