Janitor
Job Summary : The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment for all staff, clients, and visitors. The individual in this role will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Refill and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs.
- Report any major repairs or safety hazards to a supervisor.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored properly and safely.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role is a plus.Ability to handle basic cleaning equipment and materials.Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.Working Conditions :
This role may involve exposure to various cleaning chemicals and dust.Work may be performed in different areas of the building, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $15.00 Per Hour
