Janitor

Job Summary : The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment for all staff, clients, and visitors. The individual in this role will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility meets health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in offices, hallways, and common areas.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Refill and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs.
  • Report any major repairs or safety hazards to a supervisor.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored properly and safely.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a janitorial or cleaning role is a plus.
  • Ability to handle basic cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

    • Working Conditions :

  • This role may involve exposure to various cleaning chemicals and dust.
  • Work may be performed in different areas of the building, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.

    • Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $15.00 Per Hour
