Landscape Architect/Designer
RIC is a 100% Employee-Owned consulting, civil engineering, land planning, surveying, and landscape architecture firm that brings innovation and expertise to public and private infrastructure projects.
Since our inception in 2010, we have established strong working relationships with a variety of clients in the industry including local, state, and federal government agencies, developers, architects, contractors, engineers, and railroads.
The RIC team is comprised of 26 licensed professionals with over 300 years combined experience, who are supported by a committed and talented group of over 50 technical and administrative staff.
RIC is seeking a project landscape architect or designer with experience in commercial / residential planning, landscape design & site layout from concept to construction documentation.
This individual will work closely with landscape architecture and engineering professionals on a wide range of project types for both public and private sector clients.
This role requires the ability to prepare advanced AutoCAD drawings from sketches, marked-up prints, as-built and other reference materials.
It also requires the ability to create final drawings for technical and construction related purposes and review for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with required standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare studies, reports, presentation materials, design documents and construction documents.
- Prepare grading plans, landscape design and land development site plans and subdivisions.
- Landscape design for commercial sites, buffers, rain gardens, streetscapes, etc.
- Effectively coordinate with internal team and project members as well as external client personnel
- Attend Client meetings in-person and / or virtually
Requirements
- 1-6 years of landscape architectural experience is preferred.
- Excellent hand and computer graphic skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and working knowledge of additional 3D modeling programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Work effectively and professionally with internal and external team members
- Organized and punctual
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Experience with public and private sector clients
- Familiarity with good planting standards and style
- Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the day.
- Ability to travel to job sites or meetings on occasion.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
- Bachelor or Masters of Landscape Architecture from an accredited university
