Senior Lifecycle Marketing Associate

Business Insider is hiring a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Associate to join our Subscription Marketing team to drive reader engagement, turning casual readers into engaged, loyal subscribers across our email program.

The Role & Team :

As a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Associate, you will help drive reader engagement as well as subscriber acquisition, retention, and winbacks in the email channel.

This role is pivotal to growing the subscription business, providing timely and relevant stories to our readers, and supporting continued improvements and optimizations to our email program.

This role reports directly to the Associate Director of Lifecycle Marketing, and sits on the Growth Marketing team. This role is open to remote or NY based candidates.

Key Responsibilities :

• Leverage our ESP (Iterable) to develop, test, and implement marketing campaigns : including the execution of promotional and editorial campaigns, and lifecycle journeys to achieve KPIs around subscription growth, engagement, and retention.
• Work cross-functionally with the editorial team to deploy and continually optimize our news alert campaigns, provide support for new content-focused initiatives and message types, and leverage data to improve audience targeting and email metrics.
• Proactively monitor campaign performance, support A / B testing, and use insights to optimize audience strategy, content, and send time for maximum email engagement.
• Support the creation of new marketing creative and copy across lifecycle campaigns, setting the bar for high-quality creative.
• Help shape new marketing strategies for how we improve and expand our lifecycle marketing efforts.
• Build and maintain expertise in Iterable; keeping an eye on new trends, releases, and capabilities for the team to leverage.

The Ideal Candidate Has :

• Experience with working in ESPs to build and deploy email campaigns (preferably Iterable).
• Ability to test and execute campaigns, often with a quick turnaround, maintaining high-quality output and attention to detail.
• A data-driven approach to monitoring performance and determining actionable next steps.
• A proven track record of managing and delivering on multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
• The proven ability of working to deadlines under pressure, while being flexible, organized and hardworking.
• A passion for staying up to date on the latest industry lifecycle trends and best practices.
• Experience with a subscriptions business model is a plus.

Salary & Benefits :

• Base salary : $65,000-$70,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
• Bonus available in addition to base salary
