Our Fitchburg area client is looking to add a Receiving and Inventory clerk to their growing team. The primary responsibilities of the position are to receive packages, support efforts to maintain organization and accuracy of the stockroom / inventory work area.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Accept delivery of authorized items
- Receive incoming freight
- Verify, receive, and shelve inventory by ensure checks for accuracy : quantity, quality, and cross-checking paperwork details with products received
- Prepare, organize, and put away deliveries in proper locations
- Rotate older inventory forward
- Label dates on all items for easy review
- Work with Purchasing to review scrap requests / tracking
- Assist completion of physical inventory counts (yearly and periodically)
- Have inventory accounted for in computer system to show demo stock through regular data entry
Qualifications :
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong ability to follow up in timely manner
- Comfortable navigating computer software and Microsoft Office programs
- Works well independently
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills and Experience :
- High School or Equivalent
- Experience in inventory, stockroom, receiving
