We are assisting our client in finding a Program or Project Manager to join their team in Washington, DC.

This is a HYBRID position.

Position Overview :

The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of government contracts by leading a team, managing project deliverables, and maintaining compliance with federal regulations and contract requirements.

This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and organizational skills to drive program success and client satisfaction.

The Program Manager will have these key responsibilities :

Program Management : Lead and manage multiple programs and projects, ensuring alignment with contract requirements, client objectives, and organizational goals.

Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocations.

Client and Stakeholder Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for government clients, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.

Facilitate regular meetings with clients and stakeholders to review program progress, address issues, and incorporate feedback.

Contract Compliance : Ensure all program activities adhere to contract terms, federal regulations, and company policies.

Oversee compliance with government requirements and reporting standards, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.

Budget and Resource Management : Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.

Allocate and monitor resources, including personnel, technology, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may impact program success.

Monitor and manage risks throughout the program lifecycle, adjusting plans as needed to mitigate issues.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Establish and track performance metrics to ensure program objectives are met. Prepare and present regular reports on program status, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership and clients.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and manage program teams, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages professional development and team cohesion.

The ideal candidate must have the following experience, background, and credentials :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Proven experience of 10 years in program / project management, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, including experience with managing cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in project planning tools and software, and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and for our client understanding their needs.
  • Be a U.S. citizen able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP / ICE or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, present findings and interact with senior level government executives.
