Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience to join our team in the Phoenix, AZ area.
This position is ideal for someone with extensive electrical experience but who does not currently hold a license. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals on job sites.
- Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and make necessary repairs.
- Assist in the planning and layout of electrical installations.
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices related to electrical work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments (e.g., indoors, outdoors, on ladders, in confined spaces).
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Preferred Skills (Not Required) :
- Experience working on both residential and commercial projects.
- Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems (e.g., data, fire alarm systems).
Work Schedule :
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
