Full-time

Description

How often have you had an opportunity to be part of a team that is tasked with solving a huge business problem through disruptive, innovative technology?

If you want to join a fast-paced, innovative team that is making history, reinventing an industry and breaking new ground for Amazon, this is the place for you!

Surface Transportation org is expanding and introducing new capabilities to our Fleet Management business that supports all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers).

In this role you will deliver world class solutions while wearing many hats and working in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company.

This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction / influence with teams across Amazon to drive the development of our maintenance business.

The role involves day to day interaction with senior Amazon leaders as internal customers, understanding their needs and converting them into efficient business models.

The role requires regular interactions with multiple teams and jointly working with them to meet both short term and long term business needs.

This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution.

Key job responsibilities

This Product Manager will be responsible for consolidating technology requirements across teams, ensuring we prioritize effectively, and make informed trade-off decisions.

You'll be the primary point of contact between multiple business units across the middle mile organization, consolidating business requirements into one unified vision, and distinguishing between immediate needs and foundational requirements.

You'll work closely with internal tech partners to create the overarching technical vision for the team, align on a roadmap, and implement the plan.

When possible, you'll benchmark our approach against industry standards and assist in buy vs. build decision-making.

A successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to work across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

In order to achieve business goals, it will be required to evaluate short term solutions against the long term vision to strike a balance between bias for action and think big.

A successful candidate will have the ability to work in a highly ambiguous state and create order where it may be lacking.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative / quantitative research
