Facility Operations & Engineering Senior Manager

Job Description

ASRC Federal is seeking a high performing Senior Manager to oversee Facility Operations and Engineering in support of a pending Contract with NASA Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) Space Flight Operations Facility (SFOF).

This position will provide Maintenance and Operational oversight and manage direct staff of 10 or more Stationary Engineers.

Primary responsibilities will include the following :

• Responsible for a SFOF local operating procedures, including the annual review and revisions.
• Provides the 1st level oversight of ASRC Federal's SFOF team.
• Directly supervises 10 SFOF Stationary Engineers that are spread across 3 shifts 7 days a week.
• Ensures day-to-day preventive maintenance and repairs for the Space Flight Operations Facility are performed on-time and meet all JPL contract deliverables.
• Ensures that the SFOF Team maintains plant operations logs and performs daily and weekly rounds in designated buildings.
• Supports and ensures SFOF BAS / PCC (Power Control Console) Operator are initiating Flash Reports for all critical equipment breakdowns and Facility Infrastructure interruptions.
• Provides field updates to ASRC Federal Management and JPL key customers when critical repairs are made and or when Facility Infrastructure was restored.
• Ensures the Stationary Engineer (PCC Operators and Rovers) are addressing all critical building equipment issues and BAS alarms.
• Responsible for all electrical and mechanical equipment, outages, and preventive maintenance for designated buildings.
• Serves as the back-up for the ASRC Federal Electrical Engineering Manager and could be (at times) the primary point of for scheduling KV distribution coordination, preventative maintenance, and outages.
• Recommend operational improvements and communicate system events to SFOF Supervisor regarding the condition of designated buildings during core hours.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to meet customer critical missions.

• BS / BA Electrical Engineering Degree
• 15 years' experience operating and monitoring Power Control System for Emergency Power and managing Technicians
• 5 years equivalent working experience required with demonstrated understanding of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Building Management and Mechanical systems
• Knowledge of operation, maintenance practices, procedures, work methods, materials, equipment, and tools to operate and maintain the systems.

Knowledge of computer operations and application pertinent to their field (CMMS, Microsoft applications and email).

Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.

Flexibility to work alternate schedules as necessary

Related certification(s) from an accredited institution or technical trade school.

Citizenship and Valid CA Driver's License
