Job Title : Quality Manager

Position Summary :

Responsible for overseeing the quality and safety efforts within with focus on continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.

The Quality Manager makes sure products and services meet customer expectations. They oversee quality control, ensuring products comply with standards and specifications.

The role demands strong leadership skills, plus the ability to analyze data and communicate well with team members and stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive quality improvements by ensuring accurate root cause analysis is performed and effective countermeasures applied.
• Create continuous improvement culture through the development and implementation of process improvements and impactful metrics.
• Genuine commitment to fostering long-term growth and development of manufacturing quality systems.
• Lead the Operations organization in establishing and sustaining robust quality controls.
• Applies statistical quality control methods in analyzing data to evaluate the current process and recommend process changes.
• Plans and conducts quality analysis, design of experiments, and products tests to assure the quality of products.
• Reduce internal scrap and potential quality escapes through the implementation of process controls where applicable.
• Successfully works across all disciplines and levels of the organization in a persuasive and credible manner.
• Experience implementing, administrating and / or auditing quality programs and procedures, such as ISO9001 and BRC.
• Lead and coordinate Customer and Internal Audits.
• Ensure products meet company, customer and regulatory requirements for quality and food safety.
• Review all HACCP and regulatory documentation for required record review and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Establish performance and developmental objectives for QA Technicians and monitor metrics thereof.
• Experience with evaluating vendor performance and establishing criteria and rating system for critical vendors

Candidate Requirements :

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, quality management, production or related technical discipline; or equivalent in experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years working in a production / manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership / managerial experience.
• Strongly prefer ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
• Knowledge of Quality and Food Safety programs including GMP, GFSI, BRC, HAACP CAPA and ISO.
• Experience in plastic packaging, blown film or food production highly preferred.
• Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Training and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with data analysis software
