Duties, Responsibilities, & Expectations :
Project Accounting Management :
o Set up and maintain jobs in ERP System, including revenue and cost budgets.
o Monitor job budgets regularly and audit job costs, reporting issues to the project team.
o Support project team in monthly revenue and cost projections.
o Plan payroll costs with the project team for self-performing jobs, ensuring accurate coding.
o Review and interface all change orders for accuracy before submission to the owner.
o Participate in jobsite meetings and track issues.
o Draft and review payment applications with PM.
o Daily / weekly review and entry of labor hours ensuring correct coding and classification.
o Reconcile cost accounts and perform job cost adjustments when necessary to correctly reflect accurate costs of the project.
Project Compliance & Administration
o Preparing / Gathering weekly certified payroll reporting for federally funded projects.
o Prepare owner lien waivers as needed.
o Approve lien waivers and follow up with subcontractors for timely payment application submissions.
o Approval of subcontractor payment applications.
o Oversee project closeout process (final billing / cost reconciliations, waiver tracking, tax releases)
o Assisting payroll team with questions regarding hours worked for projects.

o Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite programs, specifically Microsoft Excel.
o Working knowledge of the construction industry, project accounting, project management, with an aptitude for numbers.

o Maintain a friendly and courteous attitude, even under stressful situations.
o Ability to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality.
o Demonstrates ownership over their responsibilities and sees tasks through till the very end.
Experience / Training :
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
o 2+ years of experience in accounting for a commercial construction company.
o Experience with Trimble Viewpoint is a plus, but not required.
