Senior Manager - Growth Marketing (Branding & Creative Strategy)

SoundCloud is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Manager, Growth Marketing who is focused on branding & creative strategy, and brand performance & insights to join our team.
This team member will play a critical role in developing and executing the strategy for how we engage with our users through compelling story-telling, creative, and copy.
Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, this individual will work closely with the Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Product Management, and Consumer Programming teams and will experiment with various creative approaches to determine the optimal ways to interact with and engage our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of comprehensive creative story-telling strategies, including imagery, copy, and messaging channels, that resonate with SoundCloud’s key customer segments and drive customer acquisition and engagement.
- Perform content audits to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring relevant and up-to-date creative content.
- Lead creative testing initiatives, including A / B testing on imagery and copy informed by industry trends, to optimize customer interactions and conversions.
- Shape and evolve the brand’s voice and tone across customer touchpoints, ensuring consistency and relevance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create integrated campaigns that meet both brand and business objectives.
- Facilitate streamlined implementation, including supporting product launches, go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and other marketing communications.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track campaign success and creative content resonance and relevance.
- Analyze the performance of creative strategies and campaigns, using data to inform decisions and identify opportunities for optimization.
Experience And Background
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on branding and creative strategy, or working at a creative agency.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, trends, and innovation, including brand management, market research, and creative campaign development across various channels.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics and how to optimize creative to meet business goals.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing creative and effective brand and content strategies.
- Creative problem-solver and conceptual thinker with an ability to understand and address detail-oriented and analytical challenges effectively.
- Ability to think deeply about business problems, breaking down issues and presenting solutions.
- Experience with A / B testing and other experimentation methodologies, and optimizing creative assets based on data and consumer insights.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience working in a SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business.
- Prior experience working in management consulting is a plus.
- Strong passion for music, including knowledge of current / relevant industry trends.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $120,000-140,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location.
