Florida Power & Light is seeking an experienced individual for its Central Maintenance Planning team to support overhaul planning of the Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet.
The ideal candidate shall be well organized and process oriented, have a bias for action, and excel at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Routine interface with site personnel, fleet engineering, and the central maintenance organization is required to accurately plan and coordinate Structural and Coatings maintenance related but not limited to :
- Cooling Towers
- Intake and Discharge Tunnels
- Tanks and Piping
- Sumps
This position requires the capacity to manage a large workload, flexibility when priorities shift, and drive to meet (or beat) established Major Maintenance Process commitments.
Employees in this role are responsible for Overhaul Maintenance planning and development of job specific Work Order packages by :
- Performing jobsite walk-downs and scope validation
- Supporting procurement of materials and services
- Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates
The following credentials are highly desired for the position :
- Prior Power Plant Maintenance and / or Planning experience
- Experience with IBM Maximo
- Bachelor's in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Technical procedure writing proficiency
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Project Management Professional Certification
Lastly, this position is planned to be based out of the Jim Robo Campus located in Palm Beach Gardens, but working from one of the FPL Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities of the candidate selected and requires hiring manager approval.
